Samantha Filipovich Langford, DNP, CRNA, DiMM, LCDR, NC, USN is an Active Duty, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist currently stationed at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms. She grew up in Wyoming and after graduating high school, moved to Salt Lake City where she was a part of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) unit at the University of Utah. In 2014 she graduated with her BSN from Westminster College. She attended the graduate program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences obtaining her DNP in Anesthesia in 2021.
Samantha has been assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), Naval Hospital Jacksonville Florida, Naval Medical Readiness Training Center Camp Lejeune, and served an operational deployment in North Africa from 2016-2017. She has completed additional training and duties at Tripler Army Medical Center and Fort Liberty.
Samantha’s professional interests include the environmental impacts of inhalational volatile anesthetic gases, delivery of sustainable anesthesia, and the intersection of climate and public health. Additional interests include operational medicine in austere environments with a focal emphasis on blood product storage, transport, and administration.
She lives with her wife, McCall and daughter, Andi, in Twentynine Palms, California where they enjoy spending time in nature and traveling.
